  History of  JAVA

• Java was developed by sunmicro system USA in the year 1991.

• The main developer were James Gosling, Mike sheridon, Patrick naughton. This small team of developer are called GREEN TEAM.
  

• The green team decided to develop platform independent language whose name given as "GREENTALK" (.gt).

• But when the language was develop the name initially that was given was "oak"(tree name).

• In 1995 oak name was changed to JAVA due to some legal issues.

• Oak was the national tree of America and it is a trade mark by oak technology.

• Many name suck as dynamic, revolutik, silk, jolt, DNA etc are choose in order to rename oak.

• And finally among JAVA and silk, JAVA name was selected by the developers.

• JAVA is an island in the Indonesia is the first coffee was produce.

• JAVA is just a name and the acronym.

• Now a day sunmicro system is a part of "Oracle".(website Oracle.com)
